This week on the BOX...
DJ is back at the gym. He's medically cleared - finally, and is pleased to be "getting back to it". He recaps his recent history and then somehow ends up talking about creativity, how to be creative and why it's so important. He's also quick to point out that everyone's "creativity" isn't supposed to be amazing - but it IS supposed to be "theirs", and he definitely has a problem when some people are lauded for their creative efforts, but really it's just because they even bothered to show up at all. And that's lame.
Dj talks a lot about the Big Benefit Show this past weekend, and talks from experience about how medical problems really 'F' you from both sides, financially, not to mention the toll they can take on your humanity. He also spends a lot of time hearing about "what's wrong with the scene" and has a new (un)appreciation for the way cover bands treat it.
