This week on the BOX...
DJ is all about mailboxes. He tries to explain, and to better understand, privilege as it relates to mailboxes, having them removed and what that means in the current climate. While easily a provable phenomenon, he points out that people don't "believe it's happening" and "won't" believe it, simply because it's not happening to them or in their neighborhoods. He points out that that isn't actually what "not happening" means, and wonders how far up the ladder of social ails this mis-perception goes; because clearly racism doesn't exist if it's not happening to white people in the suburbs directly, right? DJ is clearly worried about this continuing trend towards selfishness, bubbling and good ole stupidity.
DJ also gives everyone a rundown of what it's like to be part of the REVEL 9 promotion machine. Especially at the break out of a brand new record. It's not super encouraging.
DJ can't seem to use the new facebook layout, why pizza would of course be the first post-quarantine meal, actually finding a Static-X song DJ likes and MORE!
