DJ had some highs and lows at Tuesday night's show, and he's got takeaways for everyone.
DJ talks about the different "sounds" there are during a live show - the sound the audience hears, and the sound the band hears. And he goes into some detail about how important it is that the band handle "their" sound properly - and what can happen when even just one of them can't seem to play ball with the rest of the team. He also dares other guitarists out there to play an entire set simply from memory WITHOUT hearing ANY of your own guitar. Good luck with that.
DJ also has a lot to say about "touring" bands - especially what is NOT special about them. He also blames substandard bands for basically ruining the hard rock genre by bringing around their crappy Ellio's slices and passing them off as "pizza" so often that when a "good" band comes around with their Brooklyn slice, people don't even want to try it.
